Monday night, the Ikey Tigers were unable to carry forward the momentum from recent success in the Varsity cup when they lost out 26-16 to defending champions Tuks on a windy Green Mile.

Last night, the Ikeys Tigers overcame their biggest challenge of the 2014 Varsity Cup so far, beating the NMMU Madibaz 26-13 in Port Elizabeth. The second consecutive away-game win sees them claim back the Monte Taljaard Trophy from the Madibaz.

On Monday, the Ikey Tigers were on the losing end of a contest against NWU-Pukke losing 24-47 in their opening game of the 2014 Varsity Cup. The side struggled to maintain the momentum they gained in the first 30 minutes, and Pukke took advantage of this, running away with the game in the second half.
