Ikeys Players that Rocked Varsity Cup!

Massive congrats goes out to Jason Klaasen that won the “Forward that Rocks” overall in the Varsity Cup and Lihleli Xoli for coming 3rd in the “Back that Rocks”. Big THANKS to all the ikey supporters who voted for your players!

Jason was a part of the 2014 UCT Ikey Tigers Varsity Cup winning team and proved himself once again this year. He was one of UCT’s stand-out players in the competition and thoroughly deserves the award bestowed upon him.

Lihleli “X” was also a part of the 2014 UCT Ikey Tigers team. He was fantastic last year and kept up that great form this year, scoring a number of tries and instrumental in almost every try scored by the Ikey Tigers. X played predominantly at outside centre (no.13) this year instead of his usual spot on the wing (no.14) as he did the season before.

Lastly, big congrats to Chad Solomon and X who were picked for this year’s Varsity Cup Dream Team. They take on the Junior Springboks on Tuesday, 21 April in Stellenbosch. Good Luck guys! Do the Ikeys name proud! Dream Team Pic below (courtesy of Varsity Cup website):
