The IkeysVibe Social Touch Rugby Friday's continue to grow in popularity. More and more girls are joining the fold for social touch and res rivalries are beginning to take shape. This Friday saw the eagerly contested rivalry game between College House and Kopano continued on the UCT A field. With Intervarsity tickets, drinks and pride at stake for the winners; the teams were well prepared with set plays, matching kit and travelling support.

College held out for a 2-1 win in an incredibly tight game marked by great defending by both teams. The winners had to wear down a resilient Kopano team who, with an incredible amount of substitutes, continually subbed their entire team between plays to keep the energy levels up.

After quick celebratory beer, the players then merged into a slightly more relaxed full field game with the other social guys and girls players. With the players enjoying a great relaxing end to the week, play continued right until sundown with the beautiful view of UCT as a backdrop.

It’s what social rugby is all about!

See you on Friday 3.30 – 5.30 (or later)
