Ikeys Vibe Autumn Touch League

After the success of Downers there were loads of UCT students who wanted to get in on the touch scene and although time on the rugby fields was at an absolute premium, an Autumn league was put together and we have had 6 teams battling it out on the green mile for Touch Rugby glory.

The Autumn league is made up of; LMH, Clarinus, College House, Smuts, Rosebank College and an "All-Stars" team that plays every week. Competition is tight and teams are taking the league very seriously. Games are 30 min each made up of 15 min halves. The teams have rolling subs and the format is 3 down touch. It keeps the game quick and it ensures that each team arrives every week with skill and fitness to boot.

The second week of league delivered a sodden pitch after 3 solid days of rain at UCT. It is very difficult to hold back players when there is mud involved and there was some incredibly flamboyant skill on display.
Clarinus have their nose out in front for the championship and with exams staring us down the barrel this week is the last week before a long study break and a massive Winter Vacation.
