National Honours for the Ikey Tigers!

Varsity Cup, Intervarsity and WP Super League Champions, the Ikey Tigers have been nominated in the Team of the Year category for this years SA Rugby Union Awards. They are joined by four other teams being the Golden Lions, Springbok Sevens, Stormers and Boland Cavaliers.

The Ikey Tigers has enjoyed a very successful season, picking up their first WP Super League win since 1974, bringing home the Varsity Cup after defeating Tuks in Pretoria and winning this year's intervarsity game against Maties (one of SA's oldest and most bitter rivals challenge).

The winners for the awards are to be announced at a function held at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg on 3 November 2011.

A very proud moment for all Ikey Tigers. Much appreciation goes to the massive support the team was given this year. We are looking so forward to what the next year has in store!
